A delegation from Vienna visited the AEHT secretariat. The main purpose of the visit was to learn, discuss, and share experiences on different matters concerning Agroecology in Tanzania, Africa, and the whole world at large. Delegates received a short history of the Hub and the kind of activities implemented by the Hub. Prof. Dismas Mwaseba was the main presenter on the historical background of the AEHT. The discussion was focused on the potential of agroecology to communities, and the use of social media in promoting agroecology for sustainable food systems. The key deliberations of the meeting were on agroecology research conducted by the hub, the development of an agroecology curriculum for training in-service extension agents, and farmer research networks (FRNs).
